How to Use Baking Soda to Neutralize Bad Car Odors

On a long car trip, a bad smell in your car is the worst. Whether it's spilled milk or wet dog smell, you want to get it out of your car before you go on a long trip or even just your daily commute. We want you to be able to enjoy your trips in your vehicle, so we've come up with a couple of ways that you can mitigate some of the noxious odors that sometimes invade cars.

If you spill something, one of the first things that you should do is wipe it up immediately. For instance, if your child spills milk in the back seat, pull over to the side of the road. Later, sprinkle some baking soda on the spill once it's dry, then vacuum it up.

You can also use baking soda in a bowl to get rid of a wide variety of smells, such as tobacco. Leave the bowl of baking soda in your car for a couple of days to neutralize the odors.
