Easy Tips to Pick a Teen Vehicle

Finding a car you teenager will like and one you can afford is tricky, but the most important factor is safety. Here are some things to look for.

High horsepower is a no-no. Don't give them the option to test the car's limits, which they will be tempted to do with a powerful engine. A bigger, heavier car protects better in car crashes, and teens are less likely to wreck a bigger vehicle. Make sure the car has a great safety rating with at least four stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Choose a car with electronic stability control (ESC) to help your teen on slippery and curvy roads. ESC reduces risks the same way seat belts do.

Bowman Auto Center has plenty of vehicles to love. Stop by our used car sales location so you both can test drive a few of them.
